My name is Daan, known online as Downburst Daan. I began storm chasing actively in Europe over 20 years ago before relocating to the United States to pursue severe-weather documentation and storm-chasing operations professionally.
What started as a fascination for lightning storms evolved into hands-on experience forecasting, positioning, and documenting severe storms across the U.S. Plains and Midwest.
Downburst Daan now operates as both a content creator and guided-tour provider — offering a realistic look into storm chasing while sharing the experience responsibly and professionally.
Mission & Philosophy
